AVCA will be announcing on Wednesday.
In advance, I posted the All-Region Teams, below. Don't know if this is a sure thing, but it appears that the names on these lists generally all get adopted for the AA awards...the only questions are who goes on First Team, etc.
Side notes:
- There were some commenters about Towson (e.g., well, of course we beat Towson...). Towson has a good number of All-Region selections, and Regional Coach of the Year.
- We played...and won...against several Regional POYs...LOL, yes, also lost to two, too.
- Pitt: Lund/East Coast Region
- WI: Rettke/North Region
- Cincy: Thompson/Northeast Region
- Plummer-less list? Yes, she's ineligible because of games she missed. Meanwhile, that left room for 5 of her teammates....only school I saw at a glance w/5...besides us? I probably haven't looked closely enough.
- Proof that WVB isn't all about Cali...States with Regional POYs...
CA: Zip KY: 2 NE: 1 (and not B1G) OH: 2 PA: 1 (and not B1G) UT: 1 TX: 1 WA: 1 WI: 1 (yes, B1G)
