We've posted a 2020 Roster (Guesswork Edition) on DigNittanyVolleyball. Here's the link: www.dignittanyvolleyball.com/2020-roster/Here’s our best guess — as of December 19, 2019, based on publicly available information, and some speculation on our part — for the 2020 Penn State Women’s Volleyball team roster. This roster does not reflect any rumored “transfers-in” or late commits for the class of 2020. It does reflect the publicly confirmed transfer of Amanda Phegley, and the rumored (from multiple sources, though not officially confirmed) transfers of Sydney Ferguson and Brooklynn Hill. If it turns out that either or both of those players don't transfer, then we'll revise the 2020 roster (and issue our apology for gun-jumping). The heights and positions listed are based on published reports, and may not reflect the player’s actual height or the position(s) the player will play in 2020. We don’t know who is, or is not, on scholarship, and we don’t think it’s relevant in this context.

Re: gun-jumping. Not really. You are simply letting us down slowly from our PSU WVB high. Can't go cold turkey, now, can we?

Thanks, nyline, this is the first I have heard of Brooklynn's desire to go. But if that's the case I hope she gets the playing time she wants elsewhere. It must be hard for the girls to stand on the side and not get any serious time on the court, so I completely understand why they would transfer, I wish each and every girl gets what they want, we will miss them.

I'll say this about Brooklyn: when Coach called her number, she delivered. IIRC 3 aces in a long service run. And if he knew she was thinking t/f, what a great vote of confidence to call on her and showcase her guts while doing so.
Never saw her evidence any frustration at not being called on, was mentioned by some Freshmen as one of the really helpful mentors on the team. From appearances: a really good sport.
Even w/Phegs and Brooklyn out/possibly out, wow we still have a surfeit of Juniors!

I too was surprised to hear about Brooklynn. I was wondering if she could be the third passer next season. If Coach decides to use the same system again next year, we must replace two serve receivers.
Of course he might put Jonni or another hitter into that role. Coach consistently makes adjustments based on the talent available.

Interesting side-bar, The 2020 team, barring any transfers, has no Seniors, 7 Juniors, 5 Sophomores, 3 Freshman. I don't remember the last time this happened.

Have already said this elsewhere on the forum, but just to repeat - although 2020 is going to be very exciting, 2021 is going to be huge. How could I not come over in both years?
