Realistically, we have seen enough to know that, relative to the top teams, Penn State is too weak on defense and the left side to have any real shot at a tournament run this year. Additionally, maybe the Covid pause has set them back physically, but they just don't seem to have the fire to compete well in later sets.
Hopefully, Indiana will be soft enough to give the team a chance to regroup with some success. With a little luck, they are capable of pulling off an upset somewhere down the line.

That was a very un-Penn State like collapse. I don’t remember when was the last time we were up 2-0 only to drop three remaining sets in a such a non-competitive fashion. I am sure Russ will have many teaching moments from this match.
