Credit to the team showing that grit and fight, like what we have seen from past years, to come back and close out the match. Letβs hope they can build off this win.

Playing much better tonight though.....very good 1st set but just about to drop the second. I'm watching on the ESPN Player in England - is it not being broadcast live in the US? Was wondering why there was no updates, even though I don't need them myself tonight. Your regular PBP is taking a day off today, I think or he is just tired of losing. Here is hoping they prove me wrong by finishing off Purdue! No, just watching wrestling.

Caught the last set on radio (I don't get ESPNU). Really nice to see the girls show up at the end of sets. And what is really impressive is they did it with Hord having a not so stellar day.

My first full live PSU game that I've been able to watch this season and what a fantastic match. So pleased that the team were able to turn it round after recent losses. The team spirit was off the scale and the joy at the end showed how much it meant to them. Of course there's still a lot to improve but this has to be a huge boost.

Me too. So fun watching RBY and Lee! And Aaron Brooks. Agreed. Impressive win in the quarters coming back after rolling his ankle. Also, always nice to see a PSU wrestler take out an Iowa wrestler. π

I had my TV for BTN and 4 laptops one for each mat going before the Volleyball match, can't wait for the SEMI tonight. Looking like Iowa will be the prohibited favorite this year!

I think there is enough talent on the team-but there are lots of execution errors. While I agree with others that serve receive is a big issue, I perceive several areas which need improvement. The setting is not at the level needed to lead to consistent results. That said, this was an important win over a very good opponent. So maybe the team can build on it (assuming of course that matches happen when scheduled).
As an aside-I am always annoyed when the commentators ignore action on the floor to speak about something else. Quite a number of extraordinary plays were ignored while we heard about beach volleyball, the ACC standings, the color commentator's club volleyball experiences, and the play by play announcer's analogies to basketball.

Actually, Hord committed no errors and chipped in 6 Ks and 6 blk assts for 9 points. Gray posted 9 Ks but 7 Attack Errors, 2 SEs, 1 RE; back on the plus side she added 4 BAs...so I think her point total contribution adds up to 0 on the day. But in the tail end of set 4, she came through with her best work of the day IMO, including a share of the final block w/ACF. If it's how you finish that counts, well, !!

One of my pet peeves also. I didn't watch this match, but I've seen enough others where the announcers are talking about everything except what's happening in front of them. Very annoying.

Which is the lowest number of kills for Hord this year. And she hit .286 which may also be a low this year.
