A story from Omaha said that Noordemeer was the 'only setter suited up' Sunday. She was hurt running toward the stands for a shanked ball.

From what I've heard, Noordemeer was originally the backup and has been playing since the starter got injured weeks ago. Hopefully Noordemeer is okay to finish out the season... If not, I wonder where NW goes from here. Taking a look at their roster, they were the only 2 setters.

That makes Northwestern's recent play (generally very good) all the more impressive. I read a couple of places that Noordemeer was able to sit up before she was taken out on a stretcher -- the stretcher was a precaution. So it sounds like it probably wasn't a massive head injury. But head injuries can be very tricky -- I assume they wanted to get x-rays or something similar. And if she suffered a concussion, symptoms can continue for weeks or months, or dissipate relatively quickly. Fingers-crossed Nordemeer returns to full good health quickly.

The incident is at 2:46 on the B1G+ replay of the match. It is very frightening. Sienna is totally focused on getting to the ball and just after she makes the return her head seems to hit something in front of a spectator and rebounds sharply backward. I haven't been able to find any followup on the internet, but really hope that she is OK.

Yup! This is likely the start of a dynasty. He has more studs coming in the class of 2024. His challenge will be to keep them all happy in the era of the transfer portal.

What will Big Ten Volleyball standings look like at the end of the year? ......The answer is cloudy. You are very prescient. Did you foresee The Ohio State losing to two unranked teams in a row?
