Indiana is definitely getting better, along with Iowa, and of course, Northwestern. I was surprised last night to see that IND was 6-5, (now 6-6). IND beating Rutgers, MI ST (which is in rebuilding mode but will get better). But what's impressive is that IND beat MI, who has a decent team. IND took PUR to 5 and then lost on the 2nd match 1-3. They are no longer the patsies that they have been for a long time. Rutgers is the only team that I'm not sure is getting any better. IO has few wins, but they've taken a couple of decent teams to 5. MI ST has few wins, but they lost their best hitter when Franklin left as well as some other players when Cathy George retired.
I've usually taken the line, "every B1G team can beat you on any given night", with a grain of salt. There has almost always been 2-3 B1G teams that a top 5-7 B1G team could just show up and win, but that's no longer the case. Assuming, (I know), that the transfers don't screw up the B1G too much, the B1G is really gonna be an ever tougher volleyball conference in the near future.

The Big10 is a dog fight this year in the middle. Agree that Northwestern and Indiana surprised me this year how well they are competing. But, if Iowa doesn't start winning more sets, they seem destined to finish in the bottom two IMO. Go BIG TEN!

Looked like Indiana would go to 5th set against Wisconsin: uwbadgers.com/sidearmstats/wvball/summaryUntil I posted this. Wisconsin then rallied to take the 4th set. But . . . Northwestern has taken Nebraska to 5. Though Nebraska was up 7-2 last I checked.

Have mixed feelings about these matches. Part of me wants to see the power teams lose. On the other hand, upsets would help the teams contending with PSU for 6th place.

Hopefully our team prepares not for the Indiana that they swept but an Indiana team that has drastically improved since the beginning of conference play.

Very scary situation at Nebraska as Northwestern setter crashes into stands appearing to hit her head. She was taken off on a stretcher..
