This was fascinating. I can't believe that the third place sport on BTN doesn't get any TV revenue! What happens to the BTN+ subscription money I pay a few times a year just for the sole purpose of watching volleyball? I have long wondered why all PSU matches (home & away) aren't feasible to broadcast on WPSU or some other local radio / TV. I also have long wondered why this team can't consistently bring in more students than the enthusiastic Wrecking Crew members bring in. With 45,000 students here, it seems like we should often be able to get at least 1,000 students regularly, but I think the student section is less than that. I am surprised that the idea of raising ticket prices was featured so prominently. $10 a match already feels high to me, but Hugh seemed to think that Minnesota could support closer to $20 per ticket. I guess we will see if our new AD agrees with that and some of the other ideas floated here. |

More than "sources." The Twitter feed for the portal put it up several hours ago. Have not seen Morioka in the feed, tho.

I found it interesting when Hord mentioned in her Insta that she was taught by NE to love the sport of volleyball again. I wonder what happened? Similarly, the announcer in the Pitt-UW game said the same thing about Gray. http://instagram.com/p/CmE_oq5uopx |
