I found it interesting when Hord mentioned in her Insta that she was taught by NE to love the sport of volleyball again. I wonder what happened? Similarly, the announcer in the Pitt-UW game said the same thing about Gray. http://instagr.am/p/CmE_oq5uopx I saw an interview after last season where Coach Rose indicated that he did not enjoy things at the end either-mentioned issues with player families among other concerns.

Gonzalez would be a huge addition for PSU. She's big, strong and powerful and can play 6 rotation. Just flipped back to watch some of the Ohio/Texas regional final and she regularly beat the Texas block. Murr is a L/DS so shouldn't be of any interest to us as we have strength in depth there.

Former Iowa L Emily Kohan has been hired as HC Colorado State University WVB. She joined as Asst in 16, Assoc in 19. HC Hibbert retired. As an interesting measure, CSU had 8,396 attendees v UC in September. Before CSU, she was part of the Colorado Juniors Club that incubated a bunch of PSU players and is now home IIRC to Kaleena Davidson.

LA TIMES Opinion Page today...
UCLA’s Big Ten move would be a boon for supporting student athletes. If UCLA joins the Big Ten, the athletics department will have more funding to support students with academic and mental health resources.
I heard that there still needs to be a vote of some kind to allow the move. Not completely sure whether this is a state legislature thing, a faculty thing, or something else or in addition.
I live in Colorado. From what I've seen in the stands behind Seely, my thought was if this goes forward, my best chance of a quick flight and good seat to see PSU are in LA, not NE or even IA.

It's a vote by the University of California Board of Regents. It's scheduled for today. ESPN reported on December 1st that Big Ten Jefe Grande, Kevin Warren, was optimistic about approval. Then again, what's he going to say?

I’m certainly not losing sleep over OSU players in the portal, but I do think the seasons when some stars graduate and then the supporting cast steps into leading roles the next year are some of the most compelling. Think about PSU in 2010. What if Brown, Wilson, and D’Errico transferred because Hodge and Glass graduated? Think about the wonderful season Nia Reed had in 2018 after Washington/Frantti, et al., graduated. Stepping up and taking on a leadership role in your program as a senior / grad student is an experience that will serve you well for life. Fleeing for “safer” harbors won’t get you far… Ok, off my soapbox now.

Murr graduated and there’s been speculation that Ohio State doesn’t offer her prospective grad program.

Murr graduated and there’s been speculation that Ohio State doesn’t offer her prospective grad program. Also speculation that with five incoming freshmen, Ohio State simply didn't have scholarship $$ for everyone.
