Penn State volleyball posted the start times for its entire non-conference schedule. All times are Eastern.
Aug. 27: Georgia Tech at 10 a.m., St. John’s at 4 p.m.
Aug. 28: UCF at 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 3: Iowa State at 8 p.m.
Sept. 4: Oregon State at 11 a.m., LSU at 8 p.m.
Sept. 10: Oregon at 10 p.m.
Sept. 11: Stanford at 7 p.m.
Sept. 17: Robert Morris at 11 a.m., West Virginia at 7 p.m.

So, any news from the first practices? (I realize that the almost certain answer is "No" but worth a try). Our team doesn't put out pictures and videos of practices like other teams. However, the secrecy is because Micha and Hayleigh flew straight from Tokyo to State College. Hayleigh is training the middles, and Micha is training everyone in left-handed jump serves. Shhhh. |

I don't agree with Michella's rankings at all. How can Pitt and Purdue be in the top ten but not Penn State?

I don't agree with Michella's rankings at all. How can Pitt and Purdue be in the top ten but not Penn State? WIth respect to Pitt vs. Penn State, she must think it's a Gray area. On a more serious note, Pitt had a very good season last year and Purdue did too. Both brought in significant new talent. However, so did Penn State. I agree with you, but I think this shows how far Penn State has fallen in the eyes of at least some of the media (and perhaps how little real investigation Michella actually did). |

Gray area...good one. I think you got it right she didn't do enough investigation into what Penn State has added. Well her rankings will be obsolete as soon as the AVCA poll comes out.
