Wow. Couldn't agree more that those were worthy losses.

I am stunned, you mean they put PSU in the top ten, and the coaches don't, well at least they moved us up to 13, one step at a time.

Well the thing I like about being up in the RPI is there's no judgment involved. No prejudice. Just the numbers. But we need to book some wins over top ten teams. Can we pencil that in for later this week?

If Penn State doesn't beat Nebraska at Rec Hall, it will drop like a rock in the rankings. So the rankings are really pretty irrelevant until after this weekend. (Obviously, this statement can be made to some degree before every match, but with only the Ohio State match as a genuinely big win so far, a loss to Nebraska would really hurt the perception of this Penn State team).

If someone took the RPI and AVCA charts and added the placements (e.g., PSU: 9 + 13 = 22) and drew proportionate (smaller number...larger), concentric circles around each university, I think you'd find a single hotspot / overlap somewhere around the Wayne National Forest in SE Ohio, linking KY, KY, OH, PA, PA schools. I'm thinking of the kind of mapping the WashPost does for Covid tracking. Don't know where that app resides, but it would be interesting to see.
10 years ago, I'm guessing it would always have been in Cali.

Thanks, Ethan, nice article. The coach didn't give a clue about Erica. But we haven't heard anything so I am hoping everything is good.
