Looks like BIG 10 is going to try something new with women's volleyball.
Schedule:
11 Nov
7:00pm ET B1G Volleyball Extravaganza
Whip around coverage of all seven Big Ten volleyball matches of the night showing the most exciting moments. Any thoughts about this? I think this may something I may want to capture and upload to YT.
I checked and the volleyball matches for that day are:
Purdue vs Maryland
Wisconsin vs Michigan
Illinois vs Ohio State
Indiana vs Rutgers
Nebraska vs Michigan State
Penn State vs Iowa
Minnesota vs Northwestern
NOTE: all of these matches will be on BTN2G0(BTN Plus)

Sounds interesting. Is that like the NFL Red Zone coverage? If so, I think it will be a very nice show to watch. Good for the game, good for the fans.  |

Sort of like ESPNU does the regional finals. In any event, I think it's nice to see the Big 10 Network promoting volleyball.
And speaking of the holiday--Veteran's Day--thanks to all who have served.

Don't know how it will look but will be interesting to see how they do it. Maybe they will show points in the match were teams are tight in points and/or at the end of a close set. |

I don’t know. Unlike most other sports, volleyball has very little slow time between fast, high-action scoring. A highlights reel would have to include about 80% of the match. Jumping between matches might get a little hectic. OR, maybe I am wrong. In any event, it’s another way to showcase and celebrate the sport, and that’s good.

I'm guessing they're promoting this during their broadcasts? I'll confess to not watching much BTN except for volleyball I care about. Northwestern and MSU didn't meet the threshold. Purdue and Minnesota will.

Purdue and Minnesota will. I haven't seen any promotion on this on TV yet. I was scanning channels for volleyball matches so I could set up schedule to record upcoming matches and saw it listed. You can see it listed here Have to use drop down arrow to get right day. |

The color commentator for Rutgers has some of the longest sentences I've ever heard on TV sports.

It seems the Maryland commentators are the most professional. They seem informed and impartial, just what you what from a commentator.
