Assuming no surprises, next year's starting lineup is the same minus Bantle. Do we expect Merk as libero? That seems to be the case. In warm-ups he's the person who works with Will. My guess is that Tyler Herget could be a backup libero too.

I would actually not be surprised if a couple of the fifth-year seniors change their minds about coming back after the way this season ended. Clearly the team's body of work should have put them in the tournament this year, but they were left out. Do they want to risk a similar ending next year?

That how this season ended could either make them all come back with a vengeance, or discourage some to now want to move on.

They seem to be happy to be there when we had the chance to talk to 'em. Also with the next NCAA Champs being at George Mason, it would be very close to home for most of them. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Keeping my fingers crossed. To achieve their level of success, these guys have to be fierce competitors. They committed to returning before the season was over, and success was certainly not guaranteed. (As events proved ). I don't know any of them personally, but I would be very surprised if the way the season ended made them change their minds. My vote is on "all come back with a vengeance."

I hope that the men's team will get a little more attention than this year. They were doing great the whole season and not many were taking notice.
Pav and the team have tried hard to get more attendance to games. They did a series with other Penn State teams, they did an open practice for the students this year and did a wRECking crew member of the match to get freebies.
I hope it pays off for the seasons to come 😃

We have 5! Yes 5! All-Americans
Brett Wildman - 1st team All-American Cal Fisher - 2nd team All-American Cole Bogner - 2nd team All-American Will Bantle - Honorable Mention All-American Toby Ezeonu - Honorable Mention All-American
The team had a great season and the fact that they got snubbed for at-large is still painful. (Plus, I wont get to watch them. I booked a trip to LA in anticipation of them being here 😭)
