Thought for a second that I was going to be proved right with a PSU 3-1 win. Glad to be wrong.

Thanks for all your play-by-play, Jojonito! I'm very superstitious, and after not getting on the Forum for the first set, I sure as heck wasn't getting on after that. Great win for the team and for Coach Katie and staff.

LSU out-blocked PSU. BUT, I'm thinking that the PSU block will get better and better over the season, as virtually nobody on the PSU is used to blocking to the player next to them. That will change as the season goes on.

We hit into the block far too often*, and seeing as how it was Williams, Starck, and others doing so, I'm guessing it may implicate the setter and or the passers.
*In set 2 IIRC, after a brief run of our own blocks, they started getting the block up against us too often.

Well, this definitely proved that the associative law of volleyball is kaput. PSU had more trouble with ISU than with LSU. Tho you could say that wasn't true as 2 of the games with LSU went to overtime (or whatever you call it).

That's a good win. But, it was still against an unranked opponent.
Next week brings the first real test for the team. Stanford is going to be favored. Oregon plays Rice tonight and the game is available on the Oregon PAC channel.

Zoe was pretty quiet today; just think if that connection had been on. Good that we could prevail when she's quiet.
Clark had some really nice looking slides. I don't remember her looking so confident last year when she got subbed in here and there. Nice recovery from the TRY match.
