Pretty much as expected. PSU a bit sloppy at times but overpowered AL as AL had trouble getting many attacks that gave PSU trouble.

Pretty much as expected. PSU a bit sloppy at times but overpowered AL as AL had trouble getting many attacks that gave PSU trouble. And good opportunity for experience for many of the younger players. I think both Macy Van Den Elzen and Katie Hurta registered their first kills as Nittany Lions. Markley had a very nice match. [Edit: I should have read through the thread -- elliotberton called both Macy's and Katie Hurta's 1st kills earlier in the thread.] |

Nice to see Macy in. Same for Markley who hit .500 on 5-0-10 hitting. Nice to see Anastasiya and Hurta in also.

It’s great, and fun, to see coach Katie giving opportunities to the bench. After all, they practice just as much as the starters, and give so much positivity to the team culture.
Regarding Taylor - IIRC, she landed weird during last night’s match point. Hopefully Katie playing this morning doesn’t mean anything injury wise.
