So, We Are (Awful with replays) continues:. Totally miss Cassie's 3rd ace, replaying the 2nd ace, then completely miss a kill by Williams, but show a replay of the post-kill celebration. And the new phrase for this season is 'steal the point'; try to "steal a set"; if they're going to "steal the match." One person in a booth somewhere used that phrase and now it is mandatory. Great team win today!! Seemed like the serve receive was cleaned up a bit but then again do you attribute that to not great service pressure by Rutgers?

Yeah, I was annoyed by that also. I noticed that during the Maryiand match that they had someone paying attention to the start of the play so that replays didn't encroach on live action. That really needs working on during the bigtenplus broadcasts. |

It's nice to see Zoe and others pick up the slack when Kash doesn't have a good match. Kash only hit .100 (7-5-20) for the match, but Zoe hit .571 (8-0-14), Katie Clark hit .700 (8-1-10), and Allie hit .462 (8-2-13), Markley hit .357 (8-3-14). As I've mentioned before, I'm impressed with the improvement in Zoe's play. Plus, Zoe had 7 blocks today, 1 solo, and Allie had the same.
Granted, Rutgers isn't exactly at the top of the food chain, but still need to play the game; and PSU did that pretty well, except for the last part of the 3rd set.

That really needs working on during the bigtenplus broadcasts. Difference between Big 10 Network broadcasts and B1G+ (locally produced) broadcasts. Some of the latter are better than others. IMHO, PSU's are well down the rankings. |
