Meta question here. What does it say that Coach K sent an assistant at a (insert sad adjective) historic moment like this? Don't recall her relinquishing the position before. Could be she wanted the moment with the players. Could be she had already decided to share these moments w/the assistants this year. But all things considered, not a Coach Rose type move. I was a little dismayed by her decision. I could see her sending out an asst. after a home win against an Iowa or Rutgers, but not after a neutral court loss to a ranked team at the beginning of the season. |

After the match on Friday I was not as surprised to see the performance on Saturday. At times the group seemed quite disorganized. GT was well prepared and positioned to defend against the PSU hitters. Plus GT showed fast hands and a lot of fight. Need more of that kind of energy on our side of the net. Maybe Rec Hall will provide a much needed spark.
