PSU up 23-16. RUT blocks Markley for RUT pt. Taylor hammers a ball out of the middle so RUT dig goes out.

Nice sweep by PSU. And the 3rd set wasn't as close as the score.

It's nice when a team not only out hits the opponent but also out digs them. Good job by PSU.

Good to see Jess (.533 18-2-30), Allie (.643 9-0-14) and Hannah (.350 10-3-20) do so well. But, on the other hand, Markley only hit .048 (6-5-21) and Taylor only hit .182 (5-3-11). Would be nice to see everybody hitting well at the same time.
But as just about everybody says, this team is a work in progess.

I'm glad that Cam has been the more consistent RS option that we've needed, but I hope Zoe will get opportunities to make it to 1K kills before her career comes to a close.
Good to see improvements from Grimes and Podraza!

Also, Mruzik looked exhausted when the camera focused on her towards the end of the third set. Though she's proven, while playing for Michigan, that she can carry a team throughout an entire season, I hope she won't have to here... and that there's no burn out towards the end of the season.

Great win. Mac looked so much more comfortable. Jess was a beast and nice to see that solo block at the end. Passing was so much better. I was surprised to see Allie's numbers (more kills than I expected) as I felt the timing with the middles was off, more so with Taylor than Allie. More intensity in the team seen between points. Markley, despite having low numbers, has an amazing block (reminds me so much of Megan Courtney) and seems to bring energy. I like her playing in the front and Starck serving in passing. Overall, excited to see what this team can do as the B10 season progresses.

Most comfortable the team has looked all year. Communication looked solid. I believe the team was put through the ringer pre-season, in preparation for the BIG and post-season- when it really matters. Not to mention it takes time for players to connect with one another. The team was slow and all out of sorts during most of pre-conference. It was like someone overtook their bodies- it's like they couldn't function. They looked much faster and efficient tonight. Would be interested to see Markley on the Right-side (her blocking is ridiculous) and Hannah (on the left side). Jess Mruzik and Camryn Hannah appear to have the hottest hands (and its puts them opposite of one another) The coaching staff knows what they are doing and I don't have a clue, just curious on how that would look. So much depth to this team. Looking forward to a great season! I predict an epic finish!
