Nice to see PSU come back like this. BUT, I wish it wasn't necessary to have runs at the end of a set to win. Oh well. I'm a PSU fan; just can't please me  You are correct on both points. Team struggles to execute consistently. While we must not discount the impact of a passionate opponent, we ought to see improvements. |

I thought that the broadcasters made some reasonable points-including questioning whether Markley should have substituted for Zoe and the importance of slide attacks on opponent blocking strategy in rotations where setter is front row. I recall a single slide attack all match. That likely is not enough to slow the opponent's block on those rotations. The issue is slightly mitigated by Jess hitting from right back, but I think more slides are still necessary to make the OS2 job just a little easier.
