The ups and downs of this team are crazy.
You come out on fire and have the number one team down 2-0 and then somehow don’t even play them close the next three sets and get reverse swept at home with your biggest crowd in recent history.
Just last week you lose to an average at best Michigan state team After beating them By as many as 13 points in one set.
And the list could go on and on. The lack of consistency is nothing short of maddening.
Also anyone else share my thoughts that if you don’t trust your 5th year senior to serve in a crucial point of set 5 against the number one team
In the county —- when do you trust her ? I don’t agree with this move by KSC but curious what anyone else thinks.
Service errors continue to kill this team.

Once again, defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory.
This team is shaping up to have less success than last year's team, despite having considerably more talent.
At what point do these disappointments become an indictment of KSC?

While the defeat is tough to take right now I think it needs to be put in perspective. Penn State nearly beat the best team in college volleyball. That's a good thing. It makes me think Penn State could do well in the NCAA tournament.

Even with as competitive as B1G volleyball has become, where excellence is expected, I still think it’s premature to judge KSC too harshly for 1 up and down season. In terms of in-game coaching, I think the job she did in the final match last season at WI was an absolute master class in leadership. As far as roster management, she still hasn’t gotten one of her recruiting classes on campus yet. Falduto and Starck are studs, but it really isn’t until 2025 that she gets a full class of HER recruits coming in - recruiting starts when players are sophomores, or earlier. And in the interim, she’s shown an ability to construct competitive rosters with top talent. Unfortunately, this season the ingredients aren’t coming together as well as we might hope, but it’s not for lack of effort or connection with big names. I know folks will want quicker returns, but I think KSC is doing the right big picture things with the program so far. |

It's like the coaching staff is waiting for the team to figure things out on their own. I know it's not an easy job, even although Russ made it look easy. But I'll admit that even he waited too long to take time-outs, sometimes, which was frustrating to watch. |
