Can anyone think of a bigger KSC statement than this.? I cannot.

Incredible signature win of the season. We needed this, big-time.

I wonder how much this changes our RPI?

I need to find a replay. 

This replay should be shown to High Schools around the country for textbook volleyball.

I am so happy for the team with this win. It highlighted Coach Katie's decision making, the team's resilience, the great defense, and an attitude we haven't seen in a few years. There were highlight reel plays all around. The back row defense was off the charts amazing, and that really seemed to be a key component of this victory.

I 100% own up to being critical of the team and being negative, but I don't think any of us were being unrealistic or unfair. The bar was set really, really high by the 2000s and early 2010s teams. The announcers talked last night about how hard the road has been for Wisconsin to only lose a few sets this season, without remarking on how PSU made it a whole season of sweeps and won 109 matches in a row over several years. Those teams won 10 Big Ten championships in 11 years and six national championships in eight years. I remember laughing every year when fans on that other board predicted we would be fourth or fifth in the Big Ten the year after winning a conference championship and a Big Ten championship. Then, it happened -- since 2014, there has been one Big Ten Championship after 10/11 in the previous decade. The announcers keep talking about the years that have passed since we beat Nebraska and Wisconsin, when we used to beat them routinely.

I really hope that this is a turning point and we see this team finish the season by continuing to get better. But even if it doesn't, I'm happy with this statement win and seeing PSU play with fire and passion in beating Wisconsin.
