I guess this sums up the expectation on a number 3 ranked team and the reality of how you need the physical and mental toughness in every game, especially toward the end of the season. It does seem PSU is struggling a bit more than other top ranked teams. |

The good news (!?), is that PSU is managing to pull these games out even tho not playing very well. I've really expected PSU to lose one of these games, but so far they haven't |

They need to put aside this game asap and focus on tomorrow's game. Hope they bring their "A" game tomorrow!

I only looked at the word "survives" and thought, OK, that somewhat describes how us PSU fans are feeling right now. Although, winning in 4 is not surviving, per se; 'surviving' would have been the appropriate if this match had gone 5. How'd they get the ranking wrong? That's very unlike the B1G. Who the heck is running their twitter/X account? EDIT: I had not played the video; now I understand the post. The announcer said on match point, "Penn State, comes out of this one, survives the scare..." |

But on the other hand, this isn't the first not so good game that PSU has played without the excuse of looking ahead to an important game. |

I really think Hannah would’ve put up some really big numbers this season if she was playing RS. She seems nearly impossible to stop when she attacks from the RS. I do agree she played a lot better than her stats this game.
It was interesting to see the stat of PSU’s 7 ranked wins this season with only 3 of the matches going over 3 sets. I think that says a lot of this team’s ability to step up their level of play in big games. Although I’d wish they swept more of these unranked matchups I also think it better prepares them for the tougher ranked games. Hoping Grimes, Falduto,I. Starck, Trammel and Mruzik can put up these numbers again next game (in a win). I think that could possibly be a sweep of the B10 weekly awards if so.
