Nice to see some spark from Simone Lee. As much as Lee can hit well sometimes, she lacks in other areas, especially in blocking and defending. Both Ali and Simone will not come close to replacing Megan and Aiyana in their roles

At least we had the PSU Women's Soccer team win their first NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP for Penn State and first for the BIG10. Going to watch the US Women's National Team Under-20's play Hondura's on Fox Sports 2. The goalkeeper on the US team is Rose Chandler, the Penn State backup goalkeeper.

Haleigh needs to work on the block in the off season, she is always late I'm thinking lazy might be the term you're looking for. yikes, that's quite an accusation. I know we're all frustrated, but questioning the effort level?

I feel bad for fans who made the trip to Des Moines.
For those there, who will you pull for tomorrow?

Thank you to the seniors. Loved Caraway almost walking all the way onto the court, even when things seemed to slip away. I will miss Courtney's savvy-ness and Whitney's power. I'm also sad for Lainy and Kendall. Probably the last formal volleyball game those two will ever play together.

It's not the effort some of us are questioning, it's the court awareness that she may not have. She hits amazingly well, so it's hard to point out things she could do better. But, she is not quick footed and sometimes that shows in her lateness to close the gap in blocking. With Megan and Aiyana gone now Haleigh has to really step up her and become the leader of this team

Perhaps I should have taken the time to chose better words. I don't question Haliegh's on-court efforts. It's obvious she's giving it her all on every play. I think Haliegh's relied on her athleticism. Now it's time for her to decide if she wants to study her opponents to better anticipate their moves.
Let me try this: Remember Katie Slay? Lots of people minimized her skill, saying she was slow. But she did a pretty good job for being slow. I think she compensated for her "slowness" with preparation. She was a very smart player.
Lot of room for improvement for me too. I shouldn't say stuff like that in the heat of the moment.

The girls certainly tried.
Congrats to Aiyana, Kendall, Megan and Lara on terrific careers. 3 final 4's and 2 National Championship.
We were blessed with what they brought to the program and university.
