A few years back i saw Penn had lots of info up about their spring season, including the Lions' visit to the City of Brotherly Love. Not a peep that I could find about PSU schedule, locations, record.
What gives?
Anybody able to share what's going on this year (be specific!)...?
thanks! Miss y'all.

This is pure speculation, but my guess is the staff wants the opportunity to experiment without the spotlight of attention and analysis that inevitably would flow if the schedule were public. Also, I suspect these schedules are more fluid than the regular season schedule. Finally, the Spring doesn't include the incoming freshmen (unless they enrolled early -- I don't know if any of them did). So that's another reason the staff might not want to encourage premature speculation about the lineup.

Maybe we should encourage Dennis Rodman to befriend Russ Rose? He shed a lot of light on North Korea--and we know a lot more about North Korea than we do about the ins and outs of the PSU Women's Volleyball offseason.

When there is something to say, he will say it. When there is a schedule to publicize, he will. When he hires a new coach he will advise.

Not for a minute do I believe that Coach Rose will get much if anything of value from the PSU "faniverse" if he were to provide more information about his program's goings on. Keeping things on the down low is probably better for the players. If I were being completely honest, I'd probably admit that I'm better off as things are--it's not as if knowing (in February) who has the inside track as the next right side hitter will really do me any good.
As someone who used to follow goings on in closed societies, I find good information control as something to be admired. I'm very impressed at how Coach Rose controls his message. PSU women's volleyball really exercises good information control And if there are fans on this board or on volleytalk who really do "know," they seem to have bought into Coach Rose's methods.
I've really enjoyed the insight Nyline provided us over the past season by attending so many games and post-game pressers.
Until more information comes our way, I continue to make snarky comments--because I like to. I like your sober view of my ranting too.

We have confirmation that Haleigh Washington was at the Thon on crutches. I pray she will be able to come back 100% in August. I hate to think what it would be like if she has to redshirt.

How soon do you think we can fill our coaching staff vacancies? Will this affect recruiting?

How soon do you think we can fill our coaching staff vacancies? Will this affect recruiting? I don't think the timing will affect recruiting -- I think Coach Rose and Salima are the main recruiters (but I am speculating). Timing? I have no idea, but I assume Coach Rose wants to fill the vacancy as quickly as possible, while at the same time getting the best person possible. So, he won't be rushed, but I'd be pretty confident it's a very high priority.

_ It's so mysterious we don't even know what Island the team has flown to for spring training and team bonding. Although that could be Bald Eagle State Park......or Whipple Dam.

Back in same conference where he formerly coached -- Furman. Samford site has quotes from Rosen, Rose, Furman coach (former player of Chan's) and others about how lucky Samford is.
