So, will she be the third, fourth, or fifth setter on the team? Some interesting choices and competition ahead. As with most preseasons, we can compete with each other for the most uniformly uninformed opinions about who will start.
Good times!

Good luck Abby I think "very unsatisfied" is an overstatement -- at least based on the number of times Coach Rose chose Bryanna as one of the players for the post-match media sessions, and the very positive things he said about her on many occasions. That doesn't mean Detering won't win the competition, but it won't be a coronation. The competition will be good for the team.

Every coach is very unsatisfied when they set goals for the season and fail to achieve them. I think the players feel the same way. PSU has very high standards they set for themselves and rightfully so but we are coming off a disappointing season and I believe everyone has rededicated themselves to perform better. I personally like Bryanna but when the coach brings in this many other setters it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the writing on the wall. Things usually work out for the best and we should appreciate the hard work the coaches' are putting in to improve the entire team. I appreciate the hard work your slacker staff does also, have a great day.

Couple observations: She played in the majority of sets, but was not setter, it appears. She had 58 assists for the season, compared with 1250+ for the senior setter. Where she seemed to lead was in service aces/set and looked to be second on the team in service aces. although i don't think that was an overall strength of Florida.
With the senior setter now gone (D'agostino), and with Wise and Rose being so close, one has to assume they put their heads together to do their best for Detering, Florida, and the Lions.
Finally, it appears she is another Ohioan...this time from the far eastern shore of Lake Erie. So she'll have much more opportunity to interface with family.
