Sometimes we have to be patient. I've experienced similar scenario's where a physiological advantage (Young Lions Awake In Terror) for the up coming weeks, months ahead to success and the pinnacle of Women's D-1 Volleyball. Thanks once again to Coach Rose and his staff...........

Thanks once again to Coach Rose and his staff........... Of course you're correct, and by the way welcome to the forum. But still, being a PSU-centric site, we can share our most chauvinistic hopes; not having to adhere to the high objectivity standards we maintain on Volleytalk.

DigNittany Forum: Where irrational exhuberance is welcome, and blue colored glasses are more than a fashion statement?

My Dad turned 90 on Tuesday, and we're coming up for the volleyball tourney. He doesn't know it, but all four grandchildren will be there, including one from Charlotte and one from Houston. Big surprise party, with about 22 folks. We all have birthday shirts to wear to the games; we'll be the group in PSU Blue with 'Paul Baby's 90th Birthday Bash' splashed all over them. If you see us, feel free to tell him Happy Birthday. He hates attention, so this will be great. :-)
Go Ladies!

My mom, who lives in State College, will be 96 in December, but can't manage the crowds and stairs any more. She is a fan, though. I'll look for your bunch (shouldn't be hard to pick out!)

I'm expecting a bit of a up and down start to the season. They will get better as it goes on. It's just how I feel.
Washington is obviously the leader, but Frantti has to rise up also. It's their team now. Simone Lee is the wildcard. I think she will be unbelievable this year. I expect this team to feed off her emotion.
I was a big fan of Rivera down the stretch. I thought she helped stabilized the defense that struggled badly most of the time. I'm anxious to see what else she can bring.
Does Holcomb rebound from her struggles as freshman?
What does Detering bring to this team? Is she going to bump Weiskircher out of the starting lineup? Are Reed and Thelen ready to compete? Gorrell should be a factor.
I expect to see Kendall White the libero right out of the gate and be solid.
See you Friday night.

Wait! Blood on the floor? Stiches? Need more on that. Amused that Simone Lee did not rate a name card for the Presser. Maybe she needs no introduction. It sounds like Coach has not picked a setter. Not so good.

Not so good. Maybe not good with no set setter, but it sure is interesting! What does that say about Weiskircher? Ouch!

Could be that, or it could be something else. Outside of the gym, who knows?

I liked the comment Russ made concerning Stanford. He schedules them so he can see players he recruited. That was a clever comment.
