I think the Sandusky scandal continues to reverberate where recruiting is concerned. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the wrestling team though. Plus the 2014 class in volleyball came after the scandal. |

They should only practice serving and receiving for a whole day and anyone who does not serve or receive sufficiently, should not play the next game Haha, I agree; it is maddening!! I can't believe players at this level are such poor servers!! I thought PSU serving this year was terrific...until the UNC game. Thought they'd turned over a new leaf. But we seem to be returned to that vexing place where we're shooting ourselves in the foot. And I noticed that in the BIG, bad serving seemed contagious. Not in Boulder. Other teams much better. And there are individuals, not the whole team, who own most of the SE s... and they'll have to account to their teammates for that. There were so many in Boulder that we could see at floor level were doomed from the swing. Hit low on the net. With no jump serve. That's so hard to watch. I believe White has a total of 1, maybe 2, SE for the year, on an attempt to place the ball on the OH. just missed. She's gotten several aces and got the opposition out of sorts with that short one before. She has other good serves up her sleeve as well. Apparently nerves of steel. I expected she might look like a deer in the headlights...get picked on as a newbie. That hasn't been a successful opp strategy! Glad she's with us. |
