So, I turned on tonight's Iowa at Michigan State volleyball game and Kim Kuzma (?) is paired with Mike Wolf. Liz Torterello-Nelson was on the other night. So aside from my ignorance about Kim Kuzma, Is Audrey Faull gone? I hope it's not health-related, but since she signed on with the anti-PSU cabal* I've had little use for her.
*I believe she closed out the 2014 regular season serving as a shameless shill for Nebraska as PSU foiled her and the Cornhuskers by winning.

I've always liked Audrey Faull. Agree, I hope it isn't health related.

I believe it's Flaugh and she hates Penn State. Good to see her gone. However, he Twitter profile says she is a BTN color analyst. She has been active on Twitter in the past few days, so I guess she is still a BTN color analyst.

I believe she played for Ohio State and she's a Canadian (as is one of my favorite Volleytalk posters, but that's another thread). She has shown definite animus toward Penn State over the last couple years. Tortorello-Nelson has seemed more even-handed. I understand your dislike. I recall her mentioning that that she was fighting the big "C" so I don't want that to be the cause of her absence. Hope springs eternal that the Big Ten Network will find someone better.

I CHOKE on the following: they gave a try out two years ago to the sister of Nat's player Jason Werth. Apparently she had played college ball*. She was surprisingly evenhanded in my one observation...and well spoken. of course, didn't see her at all last year.
*yes, i know. i just refuse to say it.

Oh. I've always lacked sensitivity. I recall her doing an ESPNU game. If I'd been in a drinking game and "awesome" had been the word, I'd have blacked out in the second set. It was in 2014 and she mentioned that in 2011 Micha had given one of her teammates a facial, on a serve. So, that's at least something in her favor. And, her name's not "Audrey."

Ah, ESPNU... misremembered. YOU have quite a memory...forgot about the facial remark.

OK, here's IMHO, bad announcing: I'm killing time before the PSU-Northwestern match, watching PSU vs. Michigan in Field Hockey. One of the announcers just said "Player X is very effective when she's in the game." Yeah, I'll bet she is simply invisible when she's not in the game.

Hannah Werth did a few games for ESPNU. She was quite untested the first match, but the couple of matches after that, she greatly improved...I'm sure with some mentoring.
As far as Audrey goes, she battled breast cancer, and returned to broadcasting some games. Not seeing her this year so far on any of the games we watched on BTN or PLUS, I hope and pray she is healthy. Some bias, maybe. Some good insights and knowledge, yes. Hope she's well.

Kim Kuzma has a decorated volleyball history. Played at Wisconsin from 2007-2011 as the Libero and ranks fourth in digs and digs/set in their history. She was picked the Libero of the Decade by PrepVolletball in 2010. She was on the USA High Performance team that ranked 4th in the World. Most recently she coached at Kent State University and was selected to the Top Coaches Under 30 by USVA in 2015. She is a Communications major with her aspiration to be a volleyball/ sports color analyst. The MSU-Iowa match was her first assignment. She performed very well. Audrey is also still commentating. You can look forward to seeing her in the near future.
