This isn't for everybody, but even our slacker staff likes the Stats tables for Penn State's leaders in selected statistical categories. We've updated them to 10-2-16, and you can access them by Clicking Here.

The tables are sortable, which appeals to us.

The nice thing is that almost all our hitters are over or close to .300, which is fantastic.
The only exception is Frantti, who is slowly working her way up.
That's a very balanced offense, and I think would concern most coaches when planning for PSU defensively.

Also, the team blocks/set number of 2.78 is excellent.
Defense is very important when playing good teams in the B1G.
Let's see if they can keep up that pace.

PSU will certainly give Minny a run for their money, especially at home.
A win wouldn't surprise me, but I'm fairly certain this match is going at least 4 maybe 5 sets.

Rotation 3 has gone on runs of 5,6, and 7 points. Rotation 6 has two 5 point runs. Rotations 1 and 2 each have had 5 point runs.

Rotation 3 has a back row of Frantti (sometimes a sub to serve), Holcomb, and White with a front row of Washington, Detering, and Lee.

don't forget....
double sided sword - example of the 6 blocks against MSU the front row blockers Thelen, Gorrell and Lee had 4 (3 solos). Of the 11 blocks against Mich - those 3 garnered 7 of them, inclding a ton of soft blocks which don't register. Blocks can often be more devastating to a hitter's psychy and help the run!

Point is as Philly eludes to, the tough serving opens up a whole new pandora's box of problems for the opposition. BTW - I think PSU leads the league in aces.
