Coach Rose smiles. Twirls pencil. It only took 108 years (since their last World Series win in 1908). Hard fought series, drama galore, an instant classic. Going to game 7, Cleveland ties it 6-6 in the bottom of the eight with a 2 run homer. Rain delay after the 9th inning. Cubbies score 2 more in the top of 10th. Cleveland fights to get to 8-7 before a pitcher, whose never had a save before in his career (not even in the minors), closes it out. Wow, just wow! |
