Couple factors about last night and Maryland in general.
Maryland set a personal attendance record of 1,808 . Mind you this is in a gym that probaby should hold 1000. It is very loud and was very loud.
Many of these are playing against a former coach. Some have fond and some not so fond....leave it there.
Maryland serves the phishtrix out of the ball and being at home in that environment was advantageous.
Postive side- PSU 1 RE to Maryland's 8
Sidenote. I very much agree that we need to force the middle more, even if they are able to play it, we have to hold the blockers more.

Ahhh, 8 to 1 advantage service aces.
A couple years ago, it looked like PSU played Maryland in the Terp basketball venue and there must have been 3,000+ in attendance. Most of the crowd was composed of PSU fans. This gym is nice and "intimate." Looks like a small high school gym.

Note, the write-up said a Pavillion record. However, 11/5/15, they held the PSU match in the main gym, the Xfinity Center. Attendance 3115. Their release from 2014 said: COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Playing in front of a record-setting 4,522 fans in the XFINITY Center, the Maryland volleyball team fell, 3-0 (15-25, 18-25, 14-25) to No. 4 Penn State Saturday night. Not sure what a personal attendance record is. I heard UMD was forcing people who wanted to see PSU play to buy an expensive 3-match ticket. May have kept the attendance down and limited to the noisy Pavillion court.

Two different facilties. The one last year is a huge basketball arena. 3000-4500 can get lost, especially if the majority are PSU fans.
Personal record for that small old gym.
