Well, one thing will differ in Columbus compared to OKC: No Stan Band. from the LA Times...
— The Stanford band will be suspended through next spring after administrators found “a systemic cultural problem” in the student group.
Maybe because PSU was facing off against the Cardinal, I found the band really irritating. And likely because somehow I had tickets at their end of the floor...

And I will be there. Much more likely to enjoy myself without Carlini there.
Very intrigued by the Stanford freshmen; also, didn't think the stat sheets from MN and TX looked so good.
I'm predicting TX gets blown out on Thursday; Stanford over MN, but not so easily.
I just moved, have not yet located my Penn State scarf. So I don't know if you'll find me...

So, you'll get to see an alpha and omega for Stanford--having seen them early in the season. I understand your respect for Stanford, but I hope Minnesota can prevail. I'd love to have another all B1G final. If for no reason other that upsetting Volleytalk's PAC-12 cabal.

Volleytalk reports that the Semis and Finals (Thursday and Saturday evening) will be on ESPN, Big time! But so far, the guide on DirecTV does not show the change.
We'll see.

i remember ~2009 it was time for the final, but there was a mid-season mid-ranked mens basketball game, and of course, that took preference. i went crazy. you'd ignore a NCAA championship to give men their lackluster bb. hmmm. Better luck this year!!

I believe the last couple years have gone on/off without a hitch. Maybe the sport is hitting mainstream? The Regionals had a really good "look" with the large crowds. As we know, and we're geniuses right(?), it's a great sport. Maybe America's figuring that out?

On the plane from Denver to Columbus, sat behind the 2 Washington players on the Under Armor HS West team, playing Friday. Samantha...?...the OH sounds absolutely thrilled to be a Terp in January, playing for Steve Aird. Flight attendants tripping over legs...
The other is a 6'5" MB playing for WA.

Gee, you could have engaged in a false flag operation, playing the role of a creepy (pick a school) booster, so as to invite an investigation. But then again, we don't do those things.

Wow that's cool. Be careful not to violate any NCAA Rules while flying ....

Yeah, Nebraska sounds good to me? Traveler should tell them he's John Cook's personal recruiting assistant. Kidding, of course.

(2 Wisconsin, 2 Nebraska, 2 Ohio State, 2 Michigan State, 1 Minnesota, 1 Maryland) We are going to need 2018 to be a great recruiting year!

But one of our last classes that included some of the 24 ended with both of the 2 benched most of this season. so no guarantees.
BTW, one of the Wyoming coaches was on the plane and I wondered what he thought as he strolled past these girls. I ALMOST asked them if he had tried recruiting them...
Finally, I was surprised that Terp Gia Milana, with enviable numbers, was absent from the All American list. I think she may have been BIG Frosh of year...or at least on the all frosh team. her numbers are amazing, but i guess it doesn't pay to play for a team that cannot win.
