Thanks very much for posting this. Two questions come to mind: 1) what's the percentage, by state and by sport, without regard to total population, of scholarship athletes; and 2) what is the percentage (by state and by sport) of the total student population that receive scholarships. I suspect Maryland drops alot in both of those rankings.

The USA National 18 Team was named and is headed to World's... I see only one player, Kaitlyn Hord committed to PSU in the 2018 class.

USA Youth National training team arrived in Colorado Springs yesterday...this is the top 20 girls volleyball players from the 2018, 2019 and a small sample of 2020 college classes (DOB 2000 and younger). Here are the ones that are not committed (with the reported final schools on their list). Middles Kendall Kipp - 2019 - Stanford/UCLA/USC McKenna Vicini - 2019 - Louisville/Florida/Nebraska/Stanford Annabelle Smith - 2020 - Texas/Nebraska/BYU
Outsides Madison Williams - 2020 - Texas/Florida/Kansas State Taylor Landfair - 2020 - Nebraska/Penn State/Wisconsin/Florida/Illinois
PSU only mentioned by Landfair.

If you want to follow future Lady Lion Kaitlyn Hord: The 12 girls that make the final cut will head to Brazil in August to train some more, then off to Argentina to compete. Here are more details of the itinerary:
OVERVIEW:
- The 20 players invited are all official members of the 2017 USAV GYNT O2 Roster
- 12 players will be selected to represent USA at the 2017 FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championships; the remaining 8 athletes will be listed as alternates
- July 27th: 20 athletes and staff arrive to Colorado Springs, CO for training at the CO Springs Olympic Training Center
- July 28th – August 3rd: Tryout/Training > final 12 named on the 3rd
- August 3rd – August 10th: Continued Training
- August 10th: non-traveling players will return home
- August 11th: athletes and staff depart for Brazil
- August 11th – August 15th : Training with Brazil Youth National Team
- August 16th: Depart for Argentina
- August 16th – August 17th: Official practice days
- August 18th – August 27th: World Championship Tournament
