Let me take another opportunity to thank PSUMAUI for loading so many games. And thanks to NYLINE for creating a "home" for them.
Anyway, the first game I went to was the season opener at Wisconsin. And my take-away is: Sure, I can see how the B1G selected Carlini as Setter and Player of the Year. (what a bunch of putzes) |

Observation from the 29 September match with Minnesota: Take a drink every time Hanna Werth says, "Most definitely."
You might be woozy by game time.

Related observations from the Wisconsin and second Nebraska game: The Big Ten Network miked-up Kelly Sheffield and other coaches during the season. During the break in the Nebraska game, they showed season "highlights." (I'm betting what they didn't show was more entertaining) There were no highlights of Russ Rose. Do you think that's because of that well-known B1G anti-Penn State bias? Or might Rose have graciously declined the opportunity?

Observation: Dom served the match winning point in both the last regular season match against Nebraska causing an overpass resulting in a Grant Kill and NC match against BYU with an Ace!

Penn State fans have been blessed with having seen a line of excellent DS/Liberos over the past 10+ years who were money when it came to crunch time. Actually, that's kind of a hallmark of Russ Rose's players generally. |
