How quickly BTN Live forgets. On February 14, 2017, after the UConn women’s basketball team reached 100 straight wins (which, by the way, is a tremendous accomplishment)they posted a poll, asking "What team winning streak was most impressive?" The choices were the UConn Women's 100 straight wins, the NBA Lakers 33 wins, Oklahoma football's 47 wins, and UCLA men's basketballs 88 wins.
We've added a post "When it Comes to Winning Streaks and Women's Volleyball, BTN Live is Singin' the Forgetful Blues," noting the Penn State Women’s Volleyball team’s 109 consecutive match win streak from September 21, 2007 to September 10, 2010, during which time Penn State won an NCAA record 55 consecutive road matches, three consecutive NCAA titles, lost a total of only 19 sets, and, from the final set of the 2007 National Championship match against Stanford to the third set of the 2008 NCAA National Semifinal match against Nebraska, won an NCAA record 111 straight sets!
If you're interested in reading the post (we like it, but then again, we wrote it) click on the title above, or Click Here (same link).

Perhaps it's only just that so far, none of the original B1G teams has won an NCAA Championship in Volleyball. BTN Live? What a bunch of tools!

I wonder if they know that Michigan's coach has a grill? Apparently, it helps him attract the right kind of players. Helluva conference!

It's sad that BTN didn't have VB on its radar especially considering how truly monumental that win streak was. Oh well, as Rodney Dangerfield used to say, "No respect."

What some Penn State fans fail to realize is that the Big Ten regards Penn State as a stepchild. It's OK to invite them for dinner but anything that will show Penn State in a positive light is out of the question. How in any sane world could you not list them in that survey. Well if you needed any proof of the bias they have towards us you just got it.

Especially after what the football team did this year and what wrestling has been doing for the past decade?

We will never get out from under the Sandusky shadow. Never is a very long time, but I think you're right that in many situations, it is a factor (though there is also plenty of antipathy from other B1G schools to the way they perceive Penn State's entry into the B1G as having been shoved down their throats). However, I think in this instance, it's more the football/basketball centric worldview of sportscasters/sportswriters. To many of them, there are only two sports, and volleyball is not one of them.

I haven't been paying any attention to basketball. Is UConn's streak still under way?

I finally checked. Wouldn't you know, they're at 109.
I'm understanding how Miami Dolphins fans feel.
