Reading about Hord's father reminded me how many of the top players have very talented and supportive daughters. NBA coach Doc Rivers (Magic, Celtics, Clippers) had a daughter who started at FL for Mary Wise. MN standout Tori Dixon had a father who played in the NFL. So many more instances that have been mentioned along the way.
Not so long ago, male athletes didn't seem to be so enamored of Title IX. A generation later, there seems to be a real interest in passing love (and acumen) for sport to children, including daughters. We are the beneficiaries!
