As we note in our DigNittanyVolleyball.com post, it's great that more matches are being televised. But it is too bad that the sport hasn't yet reached a level where 5:00 p.m. is simply not viewed as an acceptable start time on a Wednesday night.

So, it looks like no MN vs Penn State being broadcast on BTN TV this year. So far the TV coverage breakdown looks like this:
Penn State 6 matches
Illinois 6 matches
Wisconsin 5 matches
Purdue 4 matches
Nebraska 3 matches
Michigan State 2 matches
Michigan 2 matches
Ohio State 2 matches
Northwestern 1 match
Maryland 1 match
Rutgers 1 match
Iowa 1 match
There may be a couple of wildcards like last season so won't get to know who they are until just a couple days before the match. My take is that if you win 6 NC's in 8 years, they need to put all Penn State matches on BTN TV. No more of this BTN Live 10 times in a row(same exact show) on Friday's. Also, first thing I am going to look at when complete schedule comes out is to see what sports they place immediately before the VB matches like Basketball and Football for the Saturday matches.

I'm disappointed that only three B1G games have been scheduled on the ESPN channels. Are they likely to add more? Last year, it seemed like the ESPN channels served as a surrogate SEC network.

Not sure about ESPN but if BTN Plus does what it did last season, they will have almost all of Penn State matches online. Last season's matches are still available(all BIG Ten) online at BTN Plus $$$$ for entire season. May see a couple more on ESPN3(online) and even a couple more on "CBS Sports Live" online. $$$ |

Where can I find a psu vb tv schedule for btn plus? Do you need to sign up first? You don't have to sign up first. You can see what matches are available once they put 2015 schedule up. Here is link and then just click on "TODAY" on right side of dates or to "Calendar Icon" to the left to get to the present date. You can search by schools(on left side). This below link takes you to beginning of 2104 season which is still available. If you get BTN on TV then you can watch those marked "BTN" for free live online and replays whenever you want. You may need to sign in to your tv subscriber first to be able to watch the BTN matches. Sign-in is above right on website along with sign up/sign in for BTN Plus. BTN and BTN Plus schedule |
