Heard she was on campus this past weekend and committed! Rich Kern has confirmed that Jonni Parker, a 6-1 RS/S from Miami East High School in Casstown, Ohio, and the Munciana Volleyball club, has verbally committed to play for Penn State in 2018. Parker, who was previously believed to be an Ohio State commit, was listed by PrepVolleyball.com as one of the Top 50 players in the Class of 2018, and among the 13 best setters in that class (along with fellow Penn State commit Gabby Blossom). She was also named to 1st Team D3 All Ohio for the second straight year.
Here's a link to our post about Jonni on DigNittanyVolleyball.com, which includes some nice video, including MaxPreps' Volleyball Play of the Year: www.dignittanyvolleyball.com/recruiting-update-jonni-parker-2018-rss-verbals-to-penn-state/

Judging by the ebb and flow of conversation on Volleytalk, it sounds as if tOSU manifested a Keystone Kops approach to recruiting Ms. Parker.
Some interesting observation about PSU personnel, as well.

At last we get an O/H with great defensive skills. Jonni looks like the real deal.

Rumor has it that two Penn State setters are transferring out. Any truth to this?

Rumor has it that two Penn State setters are transferring out. Any truth to this? Graham already left. My guess would be the other one is Rivera, but time will tell.

I can't blame them for finding schools where they can get playing time. It is a win-win situation.

Wilma Rivera to Louisville per twitter. The cognescenti on Volleytalk indicate that Graham is going to an ACC school closer to PSU. The suspense is killing me. Not.

She transferred to Louisville, according to new head coach Dani Busboom Kelly on Twitter "Excited to announce Wilma Rivera, a transfer from Penn State and former Puerto Rico JR. National team member will join us this fall!"

I wish good luck and god's speed to Wilma. I hope she gets the playing time she wants at Louisville. Because she certainly would not get it here. She is a good ds but not better than Kendall or Keeton and as far as a setter I dont think so, Well best of luck

Some interesting observation about PSU personnel, as well. Please expand on that. I was banned from VT, quite some time ago. Oddly enough, it was for stating a political opinion in the political forum.

Didn't Graham leave UCLA to attend Penn State? She sounds about like that Simpson girl who played at several schools, including Nebraska and Missouri.
