So far, no word on streaming from Volleytalk, (dammit)
Wisconsin's former setter is there. Let's hope Micha outshines her.

Didn't mean to omit Megan and Micha. It's just that they were already on the roster. Karch Kiraly has called on Aiyana. That's the news I clumsily tried to convey. 👌👍 Let's hope Micha shines like the star she is versus that other setter. 😬

I hadn't been paying attention to National Team issues. Thanks for keeping us informed. It's great to hear that Aiyana's getting the opportunity.

I don't know if any of the players on the current team can fill this role.

So far, no significant reports of what went down on Volleytalk. One person claimed to have observed Inky Ajanaku standing on the sidelines showing signs of a foot injury. There was a report indicating that a Wisconsin fan's website was streaming the game but no reporting's turned up in hours. I imagine if Wisconsin's former setter played well, or if the passing was bad, we'll eventually hear about it.

You can find a write-up on the USA Volleyball website. Micah had four aces in the two sets she was setting. I'm unfamiliar with the formatting of the stat sheet they posted.

If I counted right, roster has 23 players, including ~15 from BIG. 5 setters, 4 from BIG.

Courtney, Hancock, and Whitney remain on the roster. According to Volleytalk, Gibbemeyer, Paige Tapp, Annie Drews and Steph Niemer added to training roster. Alhassan, Val Nichol, and Morgan Heise no longer on roster. Read more: volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/68761/team-usa-2017?page=44#ixzz4hpZfDVCdSo that's an addition of three B1G players. And, like Lauren Gibbemeyer, Niermer has played international ball since 2011; Niermer is a former Cincinnati OH.

Alhassan was named to the US Collegiate National Team - Europe Tour.

Did any of you look at the box score that was attached to the USA Volleyball website? And if you did, could you figure it out? Especially the column showing votes?
so much to learn...

I haven't looked overly hard, but I haven't come across any rave reviews about Wisconsin's former setter in last weekend's Red-Blue scrimmage. A non-fan can hope. Right?
