GoPSUsports has updated the team roster ( Michaela Putnicki is now #17, and Kristin Krause has switched from #17 to #14) -- though it still says it is the 2016 Roster. But at DigNittanyVolleyball, our crack team of rarely-if-ever paid media specialists (we're trying positive reinforcement) was not fooled, so you should go to the 2017 Roster for an updated listing of all the players (or the Player Matrix, to also see a listing of players and anticipated recruits). Another change of note: Cami May is now listed as 6-2, rather than 6-3. We take the "measurable" with a grain of salt. Cue the clichés?

Cue the clichés?
Give them an inch and they'll take a mile; one if by land, two if by sea; it's farther to Chicago than by bus?
Millions for defense, not a cent for tribute!
What's a cliché?

Height is not the only "stat" which is subject to creative license. Watching the Grand Prix, and Micha's reported block stats compared with Carli Lloyd, one would believe that Micha gets higher. Having watched both Micha and Carli play recently, it is fairly clear that Lloyd gets over the net better than most setters, including (I would judge) Micha.
The point here of course is a shorter middle with better timing will be more effective than a tall one without as much skill. So Ms. May can be 6'0, so long as she gets to the spots, covers the angle of the swing and places her hands to keep the ball in the court.
