We've posted a Q&A with Talking Head, about the state of the team, and thoughts about tonight's match and the match Saturday evening against Maryland. Here's the link.
Here's an excerpt:

I'm more worried about Maryland than OSU, I think. As with every weekend in the B1G, there's plenty of stress--and that's just for the fans. I'm glad BTN2GO, or whatever it's called, will be carrying the games. I can imagine the team playing well--with their flexible offense hitting on all five, seven, or nine or how ever many cylinders. Definitely would love a sweep this evening--something to drive rampage around the bend.

I had thought UMD would be a real force this year, especially after 1) their beat-down of USC and 2) their highly regarded last 2 classes, including last year's unnoticed Gia Milana. She seems to be their Courtney. However, they've only won 4 sets and 1 match so far in BIG, and were swept by OSU which is playing very unevenly. In the USC match, i thought their freshmen were really productive and confident. Haven't seen that since. It seemed like their sweep by Washington somehow deflated them.
I think with both teams PSU has to expect anything; both have the capacity to make for a difficult night for us, but they aren't trending that way so far.

I see us winning both matches this weekend in 3 or 4 sets. I think the scores may be close but neither Maryland or Ohio State has dominate hitters like we do. The schedule gets much tougher in the weeks to follow. I hope Tori Gorrell continues her attacking style to open up the opponent blocks.

Maryland very sloppy against Rutgers tonight. Took game 1 25-17 with 8 attack errors, and was down 15-12 in game 2 with 7 attack errors. They'll win, and probably reflects they spent zero time prepping for Rutgers.

Now that's how PSU vs OSU is supposed to go! For me, close, competitive matches are for the birds. I want stress-free victories.
