BTW: I had to laugh. On my way to Columbus last year, the bulkhead seats weren't occupied...until 2 of the UA girls showed up. One was now-UMD Dreschel. Told her I hoped she'd have a fabulous year, except when playing PSU.

I don’t know what the two processes are, but Serena Gray and Kaitlyn Hord, who were ranked 5 and 3 on PrepVolleybal’s Senior Aces, are nowhere to be found on AVCA’s All-American list.

I don’t know what the two processes are, but Serena Gray and Kaitlyn Hord, who were ranked 5 and 3 on PrepVolleybal’s Senior Aces, are nowhere to be found on AVCA’s All-American list. Someone on VT mentioned this: keep in mind this important paragraph in the linked article: "Requirements for nomination were that the student-athlete be in her senior year of high school, that she be nominated by her high school coach, that her coach be a member of the AVCA and that her individual season statistics versus all opponents for the entire season be entered into MaxPreps, a free service that aggregates and distributes data on high school sports." There are four listed requirements, with the 3rd and 4th ones likely leading to the exclusion of some otherwise worthy high school seniors each year. |
