Agree. They seem to get it together better on the road. What's with that?? And if 2 top 15 teams can't get them motivated, what can?

But to your point we have NOT had this issue much at all except at home against less than threatening teams (nebraska excluded) i would hate to have Nebraska's schedule. Boring and unchallenging leads to mistakes and sloppiness. I think these last 2 matches are ideal like you. we are guranteed a host win or lose imo. |

Does anyone recall whether coach Rose gave the 2013 and 2014 teams a "C" grade in any late conference matches?
My gut tells me he did, but I don't remember.

I secretly think that perhaps the girls were letting the score stay close so the fans would enjoy the match more. There is nothing more boring than watching a total blowout win with zero drama. Who wants to watch someone beating a dead horse?

My theory is that the ladies are a bit tired, that they can't quite get jazzed up for teams that the subs on the bench could beat, and it is difficult to get into a rhythm if the opponent serves or hits out a high percentage of the time. Coach is absolutely correct to chide his players, directly and through the media. But if the team does well in the tourney, no one will remember one or two "C" level performances.
I am expecting a little bit of sloppiness against Rutgers too, then much better performances the final two matches.
