I'll add a poll if people show interest, but I'm leaving Mizzou off it regardless. So, what are our thoughts? Any non-B1G Cinderella you think has a real chance?

I feel Colorado has a chance, as good as anyone else.

. The Missouri win over Wichita shows us that this a team that will need our best effort. It appears from somewhat limited data that they serve well which has been a challenge for us especially when we depend on the middle hitters to carry such a heavy load.

Wichita State was their own downfall with all the hitting errors and failed blocks. They were rarely out of system against Mizzu. Pitt was a much tougher serving team. Missouri relies on their Middles for many of their points. Keep the hitting and service errors down and Penn State sweeps Missouri.

With the number of attempts and kills our middles are getting, appears the team is handling serve-receive pretty well. Exciting to see Washington and Gorrell blast from the middle!

With Gorrell's success in the middle, Frantti's hitting percentage has been rising very quickly as well. I am very happy for Frantti. I believe she will have a major contribution offensively on the road to the championship trophy. She does well on big stages.

Can BYU qualify as a Cinderella, having gone to a championship match w/some of its current players?

You have to watch the match. Many of Missouri's points came of of bad blocks by Wichita which were not good blocks across the net but straight up hands and balls went thru blocks(hit off blocks) and down for a point (not tips). Stats don't show you everything. As for their hitting errors. Wichita State had 19 while Missouri had 28. Neither team had great overall offense. A good hitting error match would be average of 3 per set. Anything above that is too many. If Penn State cuts down on their hitting errors and service errors(like they did in most of regular season) then this will be a sweep. I don't think I said anything about service errors in that match.

A blocking error is recorded as such for the team committing that error but it is also recorded as a kill for the team which won the point. This becomes complicated but BE's are not numerous for either team (4 for Mizzou and 3 for Wich)
