don't know for sure, but I imagine they're on the road now and that they didn't need to reach the goal in order to make this happen. Will have to eat more McDonalds and less Bob Evans...

Oh had not those two PSU volleyballers run into each other at the net when PSU had Nebraska on the ropes at Match Point, especially when the back row player passed a pinpoint perfect pass to the net.

Almost, but not quite, completely off-topic: for anyone who is interested in the 15-20 session musicians who played (often without recognition on the albums) on multiple hits by the Beach Boys, the Phil Specter Motown records, the Byrds, The Mamas and the Papas, Elvis Presley, Frank and Nancy Sinatra, the Fifth Dimension, and more, check out the Netflix documentary "The Wrecking Crew" -- www.netflix.com/title/70105364. One of the Wrecking Crew - drummer Hal Blaine -- played on eight consecutive Records of the Year. Glen Campbell also was a "member' (it was an informal, but closely-knit, group). Fun fact -- Glen couldn't read music. If you're into what now is probably ancient history, it's a fascinating documentary. |
