You are spot on, cross5. As Lionsfan points out in today's Fifteen Points, the Nittany Lions faced an eerily similar situation in 2011:

I believe the Colorado team features two of Haleigh Washington's high school teammates.

Plus, Haleigh is the player whose photo is on the ticket for the match!

I don't know what to say other than I hope that play improves with each opponent. I hope the Colorado game provides a good basis that readies them for Stanford.
These are likely the last games we'll see until Wisconsin. I want fond memories to take me across the wasteland.

I think Keeton needs to be more assertive in taking charge of the receiving the serves. She is a very good passer, so she just need to call out for the balls and get the balls that are served in her area. I am little concern about the Ali's receiving skills. Her hitting skill is great, but she needs to improve her receiving skills a lot.

He mentioned in comments after the game that he thought that was one of the teams better defensive lineups. Not sure if he was talking about the receiving part or not. Regardless, the passing does need to improve. My guess is that Holcomb may be a bit tentative at this point in time cuz she's the only freshman in the back row.

I expect RR to stay with his current lineup until they lose a couple matches and he decides they aren't improving fast enough. I can only imagine what those changes might look like but Holcomb will stay at libero. Does anyone know the status of Lainy Pierce?

Does anyone know the status of Lainy Pierce? It sounds like she will not be available to play yet.

With the level of competition that both these teams bring will go a lot in convincing me the direction of PSU's future lineup.
The level of serving and transition attack will be significantly higher than what we saw last weekend.
I'm not convinced any position or lineup is set in stone, except Hailey Washingtons as the M1.
........yes , yes....of course Megan will be on the court. But as the current OH2 or OH1. The RS would be out as we need her to pass every rotation.

There were flashes of Penn State Volleyball in that match, but of course I am spoiled from the past several years. They will come around.
