I recently received a nice private message from a VolleyTalk poster, regarding this forum, which I thought you might enjoy: So, onward and upward

That is a nice note. The writer is absolutely correct. Dignittanyvolleyball and this forum are a terrific contribution to Penn State fans.

That's because from what I see and read on this site we were raised with manners.

I think the mods on VT really let things get out of control.
This site and the BigSoccer site, which I post on from time to time, are just a joy to be a part of.
The users are insightful and respectful.
Thanks y'all for making that happen.

I think Volleytalk's mods haven't kept themselves separated from extremes in discussions--they have absolutely no credibility. When they do enforce standards, they invariably decide against posters who hold positions that differ from their own. On this site, we've been fortunate. For the most part, we've never had to face a situation that requires "monitoring" and that's to everyone's credit. And thank goodness, we've never seen a need for a politics forum.

There is one fast and hard rule in life or at least there should be, never ever discuss politics or religion. Because opinions are like belly buttons everybody's got one

I religiously avoid politics on this site.
As I have said many times, even though I am ill tutored and often poorly informed, no one tries to embarrass me here. I have learned a great deal from the intelligent comments and appreciate the respectful way folks on this site can disagree.

I am a Nebraska fan and have been to Happy Valley on four occasions for Nebraska V. Penn St. volleyball matches. Everytime, win or lose, I was treated well by Penn St. fans. RR is a great coach and you have a great team. One I always cheer for. (When you're not playing Nebraska).
