Craig Dyer, an assistant coach at Penn State in the 2016 and 2017 seasons, has taken a position as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Creighton. Here's the link: gocreighton.com/index.aspx?path=wvbHere's an excerpt: Many thanks to Craig for his hard work and contributions to Penn State. Best of luck. A class guy all the way.

I see that Dennis was promoted from volunteer assistant. May we assume that he is the replacement?

I see that Dennis was promoted from volunteer assistant. May we assume that he is the replacement? Not sure what question means -- if you're asking whether either of the new assistant coaches will be given Salima's title, I think the answer is no, they will not. Chronologically, Dennis is replacing Craig. In terms of experience, both Dennis and Katie have head coaching experience, but Dennis has extensive experience as an assistant with Coach Rose, whereas Katie does not. I don't think it's hierarchical in any formal sense.

I did mean to ask if Dennis was replacing Craig. I gather from your response that the answer is yes.
Perhaps a more interesting question is whether any of the staff specializes in particular aspects of team management. For example, I recall that Salima seemed to work with the setters on game planning (at least that is what it looked like from that Big 10 Wisconsin match show from two seasons back). I also recall that one of Nebraska's assistants was credited as the "defensive specialist."

Craig may you and your family enjoy success. I hope you will be a great teacher and build a top flight program the only caveat I say to this is not when or if you play our lady lions.

Craig! Wow. Great. Going from one rabid WVB town to another.
2 thoughts: 1.Always wondered if Jaeli Winter would ever consider transferring to PSU as OH after Courtney. You now have the pleasure of coaching her/her arm.
2. Noticed in a tourney v. Kansas 2-3 years ago and carried on ESPN, they used totally different cameras (similar to the ones in tennis) for replay (in fact, not sure they required a challenge). Made the game much more exciting, much less frustrating. If they still have it, hope you'll become a proponent. It was much easier than watching the down ref look and look and inconclusive video taken from bad angles.
Godspeed.
