My impression over the last season was that Dennis came up with critical real-time direction of the front line for both offense and defense, and I'm not sure Coach could have gotten us as far without Dennis' contributions. So happy there's a slot for him. Can't wait. Is it WVB season yet?
[As to UVa, not sure anyone is going to turn that program around without a different kind of support from the Department. As of now, the DC and VA areas have no competitive WVB programs -- w/exception occasionally of VCU -- even with a lot of universities with proud sports traditions. Seems there's requisite talent in the broad area, and there should be the resources for many of these schools to recruit nationwide. Please, someone, make me eat my words!]

OK. Virginia as in the state has an exceptional number of volleyball clubs many of whom have supplied PSU with players(Brown, Carpenter to name 2)
To top that off my company had offices in Va. and the people there are all avid UVA fans So yes it is difficult to start a program(i.e. Maryland) and I am sure that Dennis was a hard working head coach and gave it his all.
I am not sure exactly what all the trips to the sidelines are about as it appears to be typical in the teams these past few years. Heretofore that was not the case in most of the years prior(How often have you seen Russ in his 30 some years do that?.)
I am not sure why it is now.
