Does anyone know why Micha is not on the team? Just curious, after all she is better than Carlini.

With some uncertainty in the setter's position, wouldn't it be great to have Alisha Glass as an assistant coach with PSU?

I wonder if this means that Megan Courtney is still not fully recovered from her injury. Last year Megan was a first team sub at Outside, and then the serve receive Libero in the Gran Prix. I would imagine that if she were back to her old form, she would be in the Pan Am Preliminary group at least.

She is not eligible to play because she missed the year with the injury.

BTW, the volley talk comment 'no JWO" is similar to the question bout Micha. JWO is the backup L on the VNL USA team. There's a non-L playing L right now.

I am interested to learn why one of the foments on this discussion claims that Micha is better than Carlini?
Why would three coaches with very strong coaching background fail to see that reality and having chosen two other setters why isn.t Micha included in that group?
Your favoring her serving and scoring capabilities and they are looking for sound reliable setting capabilities.
Yes she was a strong member of our team and did well but this is a team that has strength on the sides and in the back so their talent basis is more secure.

I am going to assume that this is a serious post. Micha is playing on the United States National Team. That places her at a higher level than the Pan Am team. The original post here talks about the huge contribution that Micha made to moving the U.S. team into the semifinals of the VNL championships. She is currently the second ranked setter among the United States players behind only Carli Lloyd. If this post was meant as humor, I apologize.

No, my apologies I became confused about the teams and failed to check before speaking out. Thanks for pointing out my error
