Not that my opinion matters, but I had some of the same thoughts as coach regarding Bryanna and what she brings to the team.
She's got a nice demeanor and is a good communicator (from her interviews) IMO.
I'm sure her experience and confidence (confidence grows with years of experience) is helping out the rest of the team. It's so important to have her on our team this year with so many freshman; she's a stabilizing force.
I know it's early, but I have been having this recurring thought. I think this team could do better than last years (if no one gets injured).
Of course, how competitive we are against Stanford will tell us how close I am to reality (maybe I should buy a space suit?).
EDIT: I just looked up the stats from the first 2 weeks of last year (hint: they were very good); I no longer think this team will do better than 2017.

Stanford will be an excellent measuring point, but regardless of how the team plays against the Cardinal, we need to keep in mind that it's early in the season. The good aspect of that is this young team can continue to improve. The bad side of that is that young players can "hit a wall" in November -- the college grind is longer and harder than high school. We'll see. I'm hopeful, though I pawned my spacesuit.

The bad side of that is that young players can "hit a wall" in November -- There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect. -some guy who wrote that for Ronald Reagan

I really enjoyed what Weiskircher and Leath had to say. I think their wisdom will help mitigate a lot of the team's inexperience. I'm verging toward optimistic.

I loved the quotes. Thanks to Ethan for putting it together.
